The Lungs at Work Pulmonary Wellness Program

Goals
Patient education to achieve

  • Improvement in respiratory health
  • The proper and timely use of medications.
  • Enhancement of the patient's general knowledge of a particular illness and the therapeutic options

Any patient may enter these programs and meet with our staff of nurse educators, respiratory therapists, and sleep technicians. All are experienced in their respective areas. The education content is under the direction and supervision of the physician staff of Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates, P.A..

Programs
Proper use of medications
This usually involves one or two sessions to cover the nature of the illness, the types of medications being prescribed, and then the establishment of regular schedules of administration, as well as methods of self monitoring and evaluation.

  • Bronchodilators
  • Peak flow monitoring
  • Steroids by sliding scale
